Railway Athletes To Get Rs 3 Crore Cash Prize Each For Tokyo Gold Medals

Athletes from Indian Railways who win a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics will get a cash prize of Rs 3 crore.
The Railways will also award Rs 2 crore to those who win a silver medal and Rs 1 crore to those who receive a bronze medal in the Olympics.
In order to boost their morale, the Railways has announced special cash awards in favour of its athletes and officials participating in the ongoing Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.
Indian Railways is one of the biggest contributing organisations in the Olympic Games with approximately 20 per cent of the total athletes.
25 athletes and five coaches and one physiotherapist from the Railways
are representing India in the Tokyo Olympic Games being held from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
While participants will get Rs 7.5 lakh, the coach of the gold medalist athlete is to get Rs 25 lakh.
The Railways has announced Rs 20 lakh for the coach of silver medalist athletes and Rs 15 lakh for the coach of bronze medalist athletes.
Other coaches of participant athletes will also get Rs 7.5 lakh.
Continuing with its affluent sports legacy, Indian Railways’ sportspersons are all set to bring glory to the nation.
