The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Rajasthan took 'bulldozer action' against an accused of sub-inspector (SI) recruitment exam paper leak on Monday (22 July).

The BJP government in other states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra is also known for such actions. The most recent such action was in the Mumbai BMW crash case.

Churu Municipal Council demolished an illegally constructed house of Vivek Bhambhu, brother of the mastermind of the paper leak Pankaj Bhambhu.

"The construction was done illegally by Vivek Bhambhu, an accused arrested in the SI paper leak case. It was demolished on Monday," Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar Jhajhariya told PTI.

The demolition in Poonia Colony was carried out amid tight security arrangements by a team of the municipal council led by assistant engineer Ravi Raghav.

As per Jhajhariya, Pankaj Bhambhu is accused of aiding the recruitment of more than 500 people in government jobs through unfair means.

He has allegedly leaked papers of the SI recruitment exam 2021 and JEN recruitment exam 2021 among others. He is absconding and has a reward of Rs 1 lakh announced in his name.

The Special Operations Group of the Rajasthan Police is investigating the paper leak case and has arrested several suspects, including trainee sub-inspectors.
