Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a stinging critique of the Rajasthan government, led by Ashok Gehlot, during a rally in Jodhpur.
He highlighted the contentious 'red diary,' purportedly containing evidence of corruption within the Congress party, as a focal point of his address.
The backdrop of this criticism is the ongoing controversy surrounding leaked documents that have had a detrimental impact on the prospects of Rajasthan's youth.
The 'red diary,' allegedly in the possession of the dismissed minister Rajendra Gudha, has been at the center of the storm, with Gudha claiming that it contains financial transactions involving the state's chief minister.
Prime Minister Modi did not mince words in accusing the Congress of sidelining the interests of farmers and soldiers while prioritizing political power.
He stressed that the Congress party's primary focus appears to be retaining its hold on power rather than serving the welfare of the people.
In contrast, Modi outlined the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) ambitious vision for Rajasthan, emphasizing its potential to become a premier tourist destination.
PM Modi also remarked on Ashok Gehlot's absence during an official program unveiling projects worth Rs 5,000 crore. He suggested that the Rajasthan Chief Minister's confidence in the presence of Modi signaled his assurance that everything would be handled smoothly.
This rally comes as Rajasthan prepares for assembly elections later this year, marking a significant moment in the state's political landscape.
