Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai Reassures Support To Gautami Tadimalla, A Day After She Quit The Party, Citing Alleged Betrayal

Gautami Tadimalla, a well-known actor who had been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for a quarter of a century, has made the decision to resign from the party, citing a "lack of support".

Her departure is accompanied by allegations of collusion involving an individual accused of deceiving her.

In her official resignation letter, Gautami revealed that she had entrusted the management of her properties to C Alagappan. To her dismay, a recent revelation uncovered his fraudulent activities, prompting her to take this step.

She expressed her disappointment in the party, asserting that senior BJP members were involved in assisting the accused in avoiding legal consequences.

As reported by India Today, the BJP's Tamil Nadu unit chief, K Annamalai, responded to Gautami's resignation, emphasising that the party was not attempting to shield the accused. He clarified that they had supported her in registering an FIR and attributed the issue to a misunderstanding.

Annamalai reiterated that "Police have to look into it and take action. Nobody in the BJP is trying to protect the accused and he is not connected with the BJP...the accused was with Gautami for 25 years as a friend and he had cheated. It is a case between Gautami and him. We are on the side of Gautami here."

In her quest for justice, Gautami expressed her hopes for assistance from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, the police department, and the judicial system.
