UP: CM Yogi Adityanath Reviews Infrastructure Works At Ayodhya, Orders Officials To Speed Up Holy City's Development

In a review meeting regarding the development of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday directed officials to speed up the works in the holy city.
Yogi Adityanath government is focussing on creating the necessary infrastructure at Ayodhya before completing the Ram temple.
In the first phase, the state government connects 20,000 houses with a 150 km sewer network at Rs 280 crore. In the second phase, 191 km sewer lines would be laid for 20,316 homes at the cost of Rs 320 crore, reports Hindustan Times.
The detailed project report (DPR) was also prepared to supply piped water to 20,000 houses, and this project involved an estimated cost of Rs 105 crore.
Other works underway include an integrated traffic management system (ITMS) at the cost of Rs 49.74 crore, seven parks in the city and a landfill site in around ten hectares of land.
Recently, PM Narendra Modi, along with CM Yogi Adityanath, reviewed the development plan for Ayodhya.
Ayodhya’s development is being envisaged as a Spiritual Centre, Global Tourism Hub and a sustainable Smart City.
The Prime Minister was informed about various upcoming and proposed infrastructure projects to improve connectivity with Ayodhya. The PM discussed various infrastructure projects like airport, railway station, bus station, roads and highways.
An upcoming greenfield township was discussed, including lodging facilities for devotees, space for ashrams, mutts, hotels, bhavans of various states. A tourist facilitation centre, a world-class museum will also be built.
Special attention is being devoted to the development of infrastructure around the Sarayu river and its ghats. Cruise operation on the Sarayu river is also part of the plan.
The city will be developed to ensure sustainability with adequate spaces for cyclists and people on foot. Traffic management will also be done in a modern manner using Smart City infrastructure.
