The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examinations 2025, Times of India reported.

The exams were held from June 20 to 22, and candidates who have cleared the written stage are now eligible for the Personality Test.

The list of qualified roll numbers is available in PDF format on the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in. However, the candidature of shortlisted candidates is provisional and subject to verification of eligibility conditions, including original documents related to age, educational qualifications, community, and disability status (if applicable).

The UPSC informed that the recommended candidates have been informed individually by post.

Next Steps:

  • The dates for the Personality Test/Interview and the window to submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF) will be notified shortly.

  • Candidates are advised to regularly check the UPSC website for further updates.

How to Check Results:

  1. Visit upsc.gov.in

  2. Go to the “What’s New” or “Marks Information” section.

  3. Click on the link titled “Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2025 – Written Result”

  4. Download the PDF and check your roll number.

Meanwhile, UPSC confirmed that the applications of all other candidates were duly considered, but it has not been possible to call them for interviews or recommend them for the post.

“The candidature of these candidates is PROVISIONAL subject to their being found eligible in all respects. The candidates would be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims relating to age, educational qualifications, community, benchmark disability (where applicable) etc. at the time of the Personality Test. They are, therefore, advised to keep their certificates ready and check beforehand the requirement of certificates in accordance with the important instructions available on the website of the Commission before appearing in the Personality Test," the official UPSC notification says, as quoted by News18.

The IES and ISS exams are among the most competitive recruitment processes for roles in government economic and statistical services.
