Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday (13 May) approved a grant of Rs 350 crore for 70 legislators under the MLA Fund Scheme for the financial year 2025–26.
Each legislator will receive Rs 5 crore for development works in their respective constituencies.
The allocation maintains category-wise reservations: 78 per cent for General, 19 per cent for Scheduled Caste, and 3 per cent for Scheduled Tribe communities.
Alongside this fund, several critical infrastructure projects across the state have received approval under the State Plan, with a focus on road connectivity, tourism, and public welfare.
In Pauri Garhwal district, Rs 3.71 crore has been sanctioned for a new motor road from Dehalchauri via Chamapani-Dhaulkandi to Kanda Temple, deemed highly significant from both religious and tourism perspectives.
In Haridwar Rural Assembly constituency, Rs 5.44 crore has been approved for constructing a 36 metre span pre-stressed RCC bridge over the Pathri Roh River near Sukrasa village, enhancing local connectivity on the Pathri–Bahadarabad road.
In Rudraprayag, Rs 4.45 crore has been allotted for the strengthening and safety improvements of the Khankara–Chhatikhal Motor Road.
For the Kedarnath constituency, a major religious project has been sanctioned.
Rs 7.28 crore has been approved for constructing a suspension bridge connecting the Panchkedar Shri Masta Madmaheshwar Temple in Ukhimath block, offering a safer path for pilgrims.
In Tehri Garhwal’s Pratapnagar constituency, Rs 3.61 crore will go towards the asphalting and improvement of the Syalgi–Juladgaon–Dodak–Thapla Motor Road.
Additionally, Rs 2.18 crore has been sanctioned for electricity supply works for the Manpur–Kashipur residential project under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).
