Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to inaugurate the Bhangel elevated road in Noida on 25 September, along with the city’s first Waste-to-Wonder Park in Sector 94, reported The Times Of India.

However, there is no official announcement in this regard.

The 5.5km-long elevated stretch will decongest the busy Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera (DSC) Road.

Launched in June 2020 with a December 2022 deadline, the project took over five years to complete.

Last month, the UP State Bridge Corporation Ltd (UPSBCL) completed the main carriageway and handed it over to the Noida Authority.

"The elevated road will significantly ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity to central and peripheral Noida sectors. We are finishing landscaping and lighting work, and the road will be opened to commuters after the inauguration," Noida Authority CEO Lokesh M was quoted as saying by ToI.

The Waste-to-Wonder Park, built at a cost of around Rs 15 crore on 18 acres, features 800 animal figures made from nearly 500 tonnes of iron scrap and plastic waste.

"The park is a first-of-its-kind initiative in Noida. It will not only serve as a major recreational destination for families and children but also showcase how waste can be turned into art and education. The project reflects our commitment to eco-friendly urban development," the CEO said.

The park has three zones: one with an amphitheatre for 1,000 people, a food court, and play areas; another recreating tropical rainforests, deserts, grasslands, and wetlands; and a third displaying oceanic and polar ecosystems.

Facilities include two entry points, parking for 500 vehicles, and future attractions such as a jungle night safari on e-carts.
