Tamil Nadu: 'Accused In Hooch Tragedy Got Himself Admitted In Hospital And Availed Of Rs 50000 Compensation' Says Annamalai

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president K Annamalai has said that Amavasai, one of the accused in the hooch tragedy had got himself admitted in a hospital claiming that he had consumed the spurious liquor and availed the Rs 50000 compensation announced by Chief Minister MK Stalin.

Further, he said that Amavasai is a brother of a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party functionary.

Earlier, he had demanded the dismissal of Minority Affairs Minister Gingee Masthan for being close to Marur Raja, who is alleged to have supplied the illicit liquor in Villupuram. Raja is the husband of a DMK councillor in Tindivanam.
