In a video that is going viral on Twitter, Municipalities Minister and senior Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader KN Nehru can be seen pushing and shoving people who were doing namaskara to him and other leaders of the DMK (DMK), after a public event.
Reacting to the video, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president K Annamalai said that it looks like the DMK ministers have taken a pledge to beat up people.
Further, he said that now Chief Minister MK Stalin would have to provide protective equipment to keep people safe from his ministers.

This is not the first time that Nehru has been condemned for his violent behaviour. Recently, he was seen slapping a party councillor in Tiruchirapalli at a programme to distribute water pots to women. Apparently, the councillor was too slow while filling up the water pots and that irked Nehru.
Few days back, Dairy Minister SM Nasar was seen throwing a stone at party workers for delay in bringing chairs.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
