IT services firm Wipro has unveiled its AI-first ecosystem, Wipro ai360, aimed at integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology across all platforms, tools, and solutions provided to clients.

To bolster its AI capabilities, Wipro has committed to investing $1 billion over the next three years. The new ecosystem, supported by this investment, is expected to usher in a new era of value, productivity, and commercial opportunities through the application of AI and generative AI, according to the company.

Wipro ai360 will bring together 30,000 experts in data analytics and AI, along with the company's technology and advisory ecosystem.

Leveraging its expertise in cloud, partnerships, data analytics, design and consulting, cybersecurity, and engineering, Wipro aims to develop innovative solutions.

The company's innovation hub, Lab45, will play a vital role in the ai360 ecosystem, providing clients with talent, training, scale, research, and co-innovation capabilities to accelerate AI adoption.

The $1 billion investment will further enhance Wipro's capabilities in AI, data analytics, research and development (R&D), and platforms. Additionally, new consulting capabilities will be built to assist clients in adapting to change and unlocking value through AI.

Wipro Ventures will accelerate investments in technology start-ups, and a GenAI Seed Accelerator program will offer training to select start-ups focused on generative AI to become enterprise-ready.

As part of its strategy, Wipro plans to train all 2.5 lakh employees on AI fundamentals and responsible AI usage within the next 12 months. Ongoing and customized training will also be provided for employees in AI-specialized roles. Wipro will develop a comprehensive curriculum that outlines the AI journey for different job roles.
