Dear reader,

The first phase of Bihar’s elections is just roughly about two weeks away. And for the first time in a very long time, Nitish Kumar won’t(!) be at the centre of it all.

He’s been the main face of Bihar politics for two decades. And now — in his non-captain era, per Abhishek through his stories — as he steps back, parties will try to fill the space he leaves behind.

Two new stories from this week (whose headlines might look like a word play)

  1. Bihar Without Nitish: What His Fall Means For Bihar's Opposition

  2. Bihar After Nitish: BJP’s Expansion, JD(U)’s Erosion, And Smaller Parties Fighting For Survival

We try and bring the many facets of this mega election. Is a storm brewing? Don't miss the above picks.
