Ground Report from Ayodhya: All is not well
Dear Reader,
BJP's reduced tally in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections wasn't as humiliating for the party as its loss in Ayodhya (Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency to be accurate).
Be it opposition's decision to seat Awadhesh Prasad, the Samajwadi Party MP who handed BJP this humiliation, in the front in Lok Sabha or be it Rahul Gandhi's declaration that they've destroyed the movement that began in Ayodhya — all of it added salt to the BJP's wounds.
What was the reason behind this humiliating defeat only months after the Pran Prathishtha of the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya?
What is the BJP doing now to shift the tide before Milkipur, Awadhesh Prasad's assembly seat, goes to by-polls? Is it doing enough? Abhishek Kumar's ground report says, "all is not right yet".
And what of the dejected party workers? Abhishek mentions that even now "SP cadres were more active than BJP cadres in the constituency."
Is the 'Batenge to Katenge' strategy working? Or have the SP's acceptance of Ram-bhakti finally dented BJP's core 'upper-caste' Hindu vote?
All these questions and more in Abhishek's riveting ground report from Ayodhya — After State Election Victories, BJP Sets Out To Reverse Ayodhya Humiliation In Milkipur — But All Is Not Right Yet
