Two Reasons Why DMK's Fear Of Delimitation Is Unwarranted

Let's brush up a bit on census (and delimitation), shall we?
The last time they did this was in 2011. They were supposed to do it again in 2021, but because of Covid, they couldn't. Now, they're planning to do it in 2026. This time, when they conduct the census, they'll also do delimitation.
Now, here's what's happening: Tamil Nadu's DMK wants to press the pause button on delimitation, which is set to happen based on the results of the first census conducted after 2026. They're a bit worried it might change the balance of power.
However, Rajesh, in his column today, suggests that maybe, just maybe, the worry is a bit bigger than it needs to be:
