3. 📺 Movies I watched this weekend
Drishyam 2 is the sequel of Drishyam and was released in theatres on 18 November.
The movie reopens the murder case against the protagonist's family and the plot is all about how he saves himself again.
The first half goes in building up the story and the second half amuses you with sudden twists.
Some can find some portions of the movie slow but the movie compensates for it well with its unexpected climax.
Sita Ramam is originally a Telugu movie and its Hindi version was released on OTT (Disney Hotstar) on 18 November.
It is one of those rare romantic movies whose plot or ending you can't predict.
The movie takes us through a unique love story of Lieutenant Ram and Sita Mahalakshmi set in the time frame of 1964-85.
The artistic elements and storytelling keep the viewer bound till the end.
4. 🛡️ Renovated Tawang War Memorial
Pema Khandu, CM of Arunachal Pradesh, inaugurated the extended and renovated Tawang War Memorial today.
He also felicitated the veterans of the 1962 Indo-China war and paid tribute to Param Vir Chakra Subedar Joginder Singh, Maha Vir Chakra Major MS Chaudhury, and other soldiers who fought valiantly.
Abbot of Tawang Monastery HE Tulku Thupten Tendar la and MLAs Tsering Tashi, Phurpa Tsering, Dongru Siongju, DW Kharma and Kumsu Sidisow were present at the ocassion.
The War Memorial is a stupa built to commemorate the soldiers of the 1962 War who made supreme sacrifice for the nation.
With the renovation, busts of these soldiers have been installed at the memorial.
The memorial reminds us of the stiff opposition that 1 Sikh platoon under Subedar Joginder Singh and 9 Punjab under Major Chaudhury posed against the Chinese forces.
