Dear readers,

India's space agency, ISRO, and the American space giant SpaceX are teaming up for a special project and we've got the lowdown for you.

What's happening: ISRO crafted GSAT-N2, a top-notch satellite for better internet in remote areas. The snag? It's too heavy for ISRO's rockets. Enter SpaceX's Falcon 9, the ideal pick to launch this hefty satellite.

Hold on, there's more: ISRO isn't just sitting back and relaxing. They're already working on a new, powerful rocket called the New Generation Launch Vehicle. This one's going to be a powerhouse, capable of sending bigger satellites and even planning future missions like sending astronauts to space and maybe, just maybe, setting up India's own space station.

Karan writes in his column today about this partnership and what it means for the future. Give it a read: https://swarajyamag.com/science/why-isro-needs-spacex-for-now

Sankranti wishes,

Raghu
