Tamil Nadu Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader K Annamalai has responded to the recent interview of Dravida Munnetra Kazahagam (DMK) supremo and Chief Minister MK Stalin with major Hindi daily Dainik Jagaran where he remarked that his party is not opposed to any language and equally respects all religions.

K Annamalai in a post over X has slammed CM MK Stalin for what he termed as DMK's double standards.

Annamalai empahasised how DMK government had earlier filed FIR's against Dainik Jagaran for reporting the plight of migrant workers in Tamil Nadu but today has no qualms in using it as a platform for disseminating it's propaganda in Hindi.

He also highlighted that schools run by DMK follow 3 language policy, that includes Hindi while the official policy of the Tamil Nadu state government presided by the same DMK is that government school students shouldn't learn beyond English & Tamil.

The BJP leader further stated, "DMK leaders should hang their heads in shame for these appalling double standards and for restricting our students’ cognitive ability to appease their political propaganda."

Intrestingly, in the same interview, MK Stalin also highlighted his government's renovation of over 1,000 temples and the retrieval of temple properties from encroachers, resulting in the liberation of property worth Rs 5,000 crore within two and a half years as a possible attempt at controlling damage after 'eradicate Sanatana Dharma' remarks by his son and minister Udayanidhi Stalin.
