  • Asaduddin Owaisi argued that Pandit Sunderlal's report proves that both Nehru and Amit Shah lied regarding the events surrounding the integration of Hyderabad state.

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has strongly criticised the ideologies of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

During a public meeting in Hyderabad on National Integration Day, Owaisi stated, "Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and Nathuram Godse have gone, but their children are still here. It’s time to drive them away.”

Owaisi highlighted that the RSS played no role in the merger of the princely state of Hyderabad under Nizam's rule with the Indian union on 17 September 1948.

Furthermore, he accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of spreading falsehoods about the merger taking place without any bloodshed.

During the official celebration of Hyderabad Liberation Day, Sardar Patel's role in the Hyderabad police action was highlighted by Shah. He emphasised that Patel's commitment to the nation led to the surrender of the Nizam's razakar army without any violence.

During a recent speech, Owaisi mentioned a committee led by Pandit Sunderlal that visited Hyderabad state after the police action.

According to Owaisi, Pandit Sunderlal's report stated that more than 20,000 Muslims were killed during the incident.

Owaisi believes that the integration of Hyderabad could have been achieved without bloodshed, but it was a mistake made by the rulers at that time.

Owaisi further said that then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had also made false claims in his speech on 18 September 1948, denying any bloodshed.

He argued that Pandit Sunderlal's report proves both Nehru's and Amit Shah's lies regarding the events surrounding the integration of Hyderabad state.

The Hyderabad MP criticised the BJP and the Congress for labeling him as a 'razakar' or 'Nizam'. He emphasised that those who were razakars have already left the country, while their loyal followers were still fighting.

He stated, “Nobody can deny the contribution of the Nizam. Even Telugu Desam Party’s Chandrababu Naidu talks about Hitech City, but it was the Nizam's vision to leave the lands unoccupied.”

He further added, "We definitely praise the good works of the Nizam. Had I been born during the times of Nizam's rule, I would have felt a suffocating life because it was a feudal system. There was no Constitution," Owaisi pointed out.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence on the killing of security forces personnel in Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistani terrorists.

He questioned whether the government would take any action, including conducting a surgical strike.

Additionally, Owaisi brought up other issues such as the Nuh violence and the Pulwama attack.

He appealed to the public to uphold peace as Ganesh Chaturthi and Eid Milad fell on the same day.

Additionally, he expressed his party's readiness to participate in the Telangana elections whenever they were announced.
