During an all-party meeting held on Wednesday (1 November) in Maharashtra, a resolution aimed at maintaining law and order in the state was passed.
The resolution, which garnered unanimous support from all political parties, includes an appeal to Maratha leader Manoj Jarange Patil to withdraw his ongoing fast-unto-death.
It also underscores the collective commitment of all parties to providing reservations for the Maratha community.
In the wake of violent incidents during the Maratha agitation, including the torching of houses belonging to NCP and BJP MLAs and widespread property damage, internet services remain suspended in Jalna district.
Manoj Jarange Patil, a prominent figure in the Maratha movement, has issued a warning that he will stage a sit-in protest outside the collector's office in Beed should any youth be subjected to government harassment.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stated that individuals involved in the destruction of property will face legal action under Section 307.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
