Before concluding the day's session on Thursday (14 December), the Lok Sabha approved a resolution to suspend an additional nine MPs for the remainder of the ongoing Winter Session after suspending five Congress MPs earlier.

These nine leaders are Benny Behanan, VK Sreekandan, Mohammad Jawed, PR Natarajan, Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, K Subrahmanyam, SR Parthiban, S Venkatesan and Manickam Tagore who were suspended from Lok Sabha for "unruly conduct".

While Behanan and Sreekandan are Congress MPs from Kerala, Jawed and Tagore are Congress MPs from Bihar and Tamil Nadu respectively. The other five MPs are from Tamil Nadu, two each from DMK and CPI(M) and one from CPI.

On Day 11, Opposition leaders voiced their concerns over a significant security breach that occurred on Wednesday when two individuals carrying smoke canisters entered the Lok Sabha.

Opposition leaders in both Houses were seen chanting slogans such as 'PM sadan me aao, Amit Shah sharam karo' (Prime Minister come to the House, Amit Shah have some shame).

The earlier suspended five Congress MPs are TN Prathapan, Hibi Eden, Dean Kuriakose, Jothi Mani, and Ramya Haridas. Four of them are from Kerala and one from Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha passed a motion to suspend TMC MP Derek O'Brien for the rest of the session due to alleged misconduct amid the uproar.

Rajya Sabha Chair Dhankhar described O’Brien’s behavior as ignoble misconduct and a shameful incident, stating that the TMC MP had defied the chair.
