About two-three days ago, on 14 May 2019, the Doordarshan Archives channel on YouTube had a rare gem on it. It was a video footage of what is believed to be Jawaharlal Nehru's last interview, perhaps - by one account - recorded just days before his death in 1964.
The video provides an interesting and sometimes intriguing look into the mind of Nehru. And so we thought, hey, you might want to know what he thought about a bunch of things, like Jinnah, the partition, probably Marxism, communism, among other things.
So we picked small bits from the video, brief segments, on things that might interest you, including a couple of strange comments that he makes on south India and India's food shortage problem.
Let's get into it. Watch the video above.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
