Amid freezing temperature, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police celebrated the Third International Day of Yoga or Yoga Day.
The security forces can be seen in the video performing yoga with enthusiasm and fervour. An incredible feat, given the 18,000 feet altitude of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir and the freezing temperatures of minus 25 degree Celsius.
Since 2015, 21 June has been designated as the International Day of Yoga by the United Nations. The celebrations are not only taking place nationwide but globally.
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to celebrate Yoga Day at Lucknow’s Ambedkar Sabha Sthal.
Bhartiya Janata Party president, Amit Shah joined Patanjali supremo and yoga guru, Baba Ramdev in celebrating the day in Ahmedabad.
Moreover, 72 students from the iconic City Montessori School of Lucknow will perform yoga in front of the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
