Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today (26 March) announced a Rs 1.7 lakh crore relief package to support the most poor and vulnerable in the country.
The disbursement of the relief amount to its beneficiaries -- to take place under the Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Yojana -- is set to begin immediately.
