IAF's First Multilateral Air Exercise 'Tarang Shakti' Gets Delayed, To Be Held Next Year: Report

The Indian Air Force (IAF)'s first-ever and largest multilateral air exercise 'Tarang Skakti' has been delayed by a year, reported Economic Times.
Originally scheduled for October or November this year, the exercise is now projected to occur in the middle of 2024 due to several participating air forces indicating their inability to participate in the war-game this year.
Reportedly, approximately 12 air forces were anticipated to take part in the exercise, with its primary goal aiming to enhance military cooperation and interoperability.
Air Forces of France, the UK, Australia, the US, Japan and India were expected to actively participate in the exercise with aerial assets. Six other countries were slated to join as observers.
This exercise was poised to become the largest-ever air exercise organised in India.
The Tarang Shakti exercise represents a crucial step by the Indian Air Force toward fostering cooperation and interoperability among nations.
Meanwhile, concurrently, the Indian Navy is participating in the Malabar series of naval exercises, which are being conducted along the eastern coast of Australia.
These exercises involve India and the remaining QUAD nations — the US, Japan, and Australia.
