If everything goes well, after the first week of June, the facility of getting vaccinated by sitting in a car can begin in these cities."

A report says: The Department of Family Welfare has sought a proposal from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) regarding the opening of more such drive-through centres.

The drive-through facilities will be free of cost, the report says.

The report points that "the exemption" will be provided only if there is the presence of adequate parking to help the vaccinated person wait inside their vehicle for half an hour, as required after the dose is administered.

In case of any side effect or discomfort the medical team shall provide immediate assistance.
