Amazon India’s New Hindi Messaging Assistant To Break Language-Barrier, Provide Hassle-Free Customer Service

Amazon India announced the launch of Automated Messaging Assistant in Hindi on 14 August, reports The Hindu. The service will enable users who prefer their queries resolved in Hindi, without connecting to an associate, the company revealed in a statement.
The Automated Assistant, Amazon’s customer service-tuned artificial intelligence platform is a chatbot which uses machine learning and natural language processing abilities to enable seamless and friendly conversations with the customers.
“With this launch, Amazon India aims to break the language barrier and provide a hassle-free support service to customers”, the company statement said.
The conversation will happen inside the messaging window where users can interact with a bot, which seamlessly transits to a human assistant in the same window.
The director of customer services of Amazon India, Akshay Prabhu said: “The new chat assistant in Hindi underlines our commitment to serve the next 100 million Indians to discover and shop with Amazon”.
