Home Minister Amit Shah asserted in his Pashim Mednipur rally on Saturday (19 December) that the BJP will win over 200 seats in the West Bengal assembly polls and form the government.
Shah also warned Mamata of a mass-exodus of senior leaders from TMC stating that she will be let alone by the time the election begins.
Shah's rally saw top West Bengal politician Suvendu Adhikari join the BJP. He has been followed by nine other MLAs and one Member of Parliament who have switched over from the TMC.
The MLAs are Tapasi Mondal, Ashoke Dinda, Sudip Mukherjee, Saikat Panja, Shilbhadra Dutta, Dipali Biswas, Sukra Munda, Biswajit Kundu and Banasri Maity.
Additionally, MP from Burdwan Purba Sunil Mondal and former MP from Alipurduar Dasarath Tirkey have also joined the party.
