Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a $5 trillion economy, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath aims at making UP a $1 trillion economy alone in the next five years, reports India Today.
CM Yogi was addressing the media on Sunday (15 September) before the second session of leadership and management training at the Indian Institute of Management - Lucknow (IIM - L). He said, “We will discuss with the IIM faculty about our plan for the overall development of the state. We have ministers and bureaucrats who have vision... Our aim is to make UP a $1 trillion economy.”
On the request of UP government, ‘Manthan’ - a leadership and management programme has been conducted by IIM - L to train bureaucrats and ministers of the state for bettering their governing skills.
According to CM Yogi, a roadmap for development and good governance is being prepared with the help of IIM faculty members that will help the government deliver good results.
While the second session of the programme took place on Sunday with ministers, bureaucrats, and CM himself, first session was held on 8 September which was only attended by the CM and his council of ministers. Last session of the programme is expected to be conducted soon.
