Haryana: Suspected Covid-19 Patient Dies After Falling From Hospital Window While Attempting An Escape

A 55-year-old suspected Covid-19 patient died on Monday (6 April) after falling from the sixth floor of a government hospital in Karnal town in Haryana as he tried to escape by tying bedsheets together to make a rope.
Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav said the patient belonging to Panipat was kept in an isolation ward of Kalpana Chawla Medical College.
He was hospitalised on 1 April with multiple ailments.
The total number of people confirmed positive for the coronavirus in India has increased to 4067 while 109 deaths were reported across the country, as per the latest data updated at 9 am today (6 April).
