BSP Chief Mayawati on Wednesday (3 October) came down heavily on the Congress party by accusing it of being Casteist and Communal. She also accused Rahul Gandhi’s party of using Dalits to rule the country while not doing anything for them, NDTV has reported.

She also dealt a blow to the concept of Mahagathbandhan by announcing that her party won’t align with the Congress in the upcoming state assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

The BSP has already decided to chart its own course in Chhattisgarh by aligning with former Congress chief minister Ajit Jogi.

Some of Mayawati’s other allegations against the Congress included calling the party arrogant and being afraid of giving tickets to Muslims. Mayawati also claimed that Congress is in a misconception if it thinks that it can defeat the BJP on its own.

Mayawati in her press-conference also trained guns on senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, who was accused of being a BJP agent. She claimed that Congress leaders like Singh do not wish for a BSP-Congress alliance owing to fear from investigative agencies like Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the CBI.

She also took a parting shot at both the Congress and the BJP by claiming that they are trying to destroy her party.
