Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta witnessed a rush of recruiters for placements in the campus this year as major companies such as Citibank, Merrill Lynch, Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Procter & Gamble were the top recruiters at the Summer Placement Programme at the campus.
A statement issued by IIM-C said on Monday (November 5) said that all the 458 candidates who chose the placement programme got placed for internships at top companies across various sectors. The students belong to the class of 2020. This witnessed a 100 per cent record in placement, that too in a short span of two days.
Times of India reported that about 120 companies took part in the process of recruitment at the campus. The internship happens to be a mandatory part of the PGDM course at IIM-C. Among the banking and financial services sector, some of the major names that were present include Bank of America, Barclays, Goldman Sachs etc.
Consultancy groups like Boston, McKinsey & Co represented the sector while ITC, Colgate, Dabur, Nestle came from the FMGC companies sector. Tech firms like Microsoft, Capgemini and TCS were also present.
Apart from the above, Uber, OLX, Swiggy and Amazon saw presence too.
