In a flagrant violation of the jail manual, Lalu Yadav is said to have set up a 'darbar' at Jharkhand's RIMS Hospital where he is presently lodged in and is serving his jail term, reports Asian News International (ANI).
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Jharkhand unit's spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo broke the news by posting a picture of Yadav, in which he is seen talking on a mobile phone, sitting along with Jharkhand's Health Minister Banna Gupta.
BJP's Shahdeo had urged state's Chief Minister (CM) Hemant Soren to take action, pointing out to the state's Health Minister's attendance in the photograph purportedly from Yadav's darbar.
Yadav, convicted in four multi-crore fodder scams, was slapped by the judiciary with 14 years of imprisonment after years of investigation. He has since been imprisoned in Jharkhand. However, it should be noted that he has served a large part of this sentence so far lodged in RIMS Hospital claiming to be undergoing treatment there.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
