BJP Releases 'Sankalp Patra' For Maharashtra Elections, Promises Rs 2,100 For Women And 25 Lakh Jobs

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Sankalp Patra (manifesto) for the Maharashtra assembly elections on Sunday (10 November).

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister and member of Parliament (MP) from Mumbai North Piyush Goyal were present during the launch event.

The BJP has promised to waive off the loans of farmers, Rs 2,100 monthly dole outs to women, increase in pension of old people from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100 and 25 lakh jobs.

Other promises include food security, controlling inflation, rural development, Rs 15,000 monthly salaries and insurance for Anganwadi workers and promoting renewable energy.

If the BJP forms government in the state, it has promised to launch 'Vision Maharashtra @2028' within 100 days and to make Maharashtra a $1 trillion economy.

Nagpur, Pune and Nashik will be developed as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and aerospace hubs. A target of 50 lakh 'Lakhpati Didis' till 2027 and establishing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Aspirant Centres in every district has been set.

"Through this manifesto, PM Modi's visions are being brought to Maharashtra. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has unveiled the manifesto with his own hands," Fadnavis said during the launch event.

Maharashtra will vote on 20 November and the results will be declared on 23 November. The major contest is between ruling Mahayuti and opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
