Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (13 February) left for his two-day visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar.

PM Modi will be on an official visit to UAE from 13-14 February and to Qatar from 14-15 February.

He will be visiting UAE seventh time since 2015 and third time in last eight months.

Further, this will be PM Modi's second visit to Qatar since coming to power in 2014.

PM Modi's programme in UAE

In UAE, PM Modi will meet Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of UAE, in Abu Dhabi and hold wide-ranging discussions on taking forward the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

PM Modi had earlier last month hosted the UAE President in Gujarat, where he was the chief guest at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.

On 14 February, at the invitation of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, PM and Defence Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, PM Modi will address the gathering of world leaders at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

On the sidelines of the Summit, PM Modi will hold discussions with the UAE Prime Minister, which will focus on strengthening India's multifaceted ties with Dubai.

During his visit to UAE, PM Modi will also inaugurate the first Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi.

He will also address the members of the Indian Community from all the Emirates of the UAE at a special event in Abu Dhabi.

PM Modi's programme in Qatar

PM Modi will hold a meeting with Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during his visit from 14-15 February.

Further, he will also hold meetings with other senior officials in Qatar.

PM Modi's visit to Qatar comes days after Doha released eight navy veterans, who were arrested on espionage charges in August 2022 and seven of them returned earlier today.
