Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (15 September) launched a scathing attack on ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), accusing it of supporting Bangladeshis and Rohingya infiltrators.

“In Santhal Pargana, the Adivasi population is decreasing rapidly. The lands are being grabbed. Infiltrators are taking over positions in Panchayats. The incidents of crime against daughters are increasing... Every Jharkhandi is feeling unsafe because of the infiltrators,” the Prime Minister said at a rally in Jamshedpur.

“The JMM is standing with Bangladeshis and Rohingyas. These infiltrators and extremists are taking over the JMM. This has happened because the ghost of Congress has entered the JMM. When the ghost of Congress enters any party, then appeasement becomes the only agenda of that party... These parties want to form their vote bank based on religion,” he added.

PM Modi said that Congress, RJD and JMM are the three biggest enemies of Jharkhand.

"Even today, the RJD holds a grudge against Jharkhand's creation, and Congress has always had an inherent dislike for the state. As for the JMM, which rose to power using the votes of the tribals, who are they standing with now? They are siding with those who are taking over the forests and lands of the tribals," PM Modi said.

He also accused JMM of looting the state in the last five years.

"In the last five years, JMM's only achievement has been plundering Jharkhand and fostering corruption at every level. From natural resources to land, the JMM government has managed to taint everything with corruption," he said.

Attacking Congress, PM Modi said, "There is only one party in this country that is the most dishonest and corrupt—the Congress party. And the most corrupt family in this country is also just one—the family of Congress. All streams of corruption flow from there".

"As for the JMM, they too are trained in the same place—the Congress School of Corruption," he added.
