The intelligence agencies in Haryana are implementing a three-pronged strategy in response to the communal violence that has spread from Nuh district to Gurugram, resulting in three fatalities.

According to state intelligence sources, the strategy includes increasing police presence, preventing further incidents, and identifying those involved in the riots.

During a Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) procession in Nuh district, violence erupted as a mob attacked the procession, throwing stones and setting cars on fire.

Two home guards lost their lives, and several policemen, along with 15 others, sustained injuries.

Following the news of the violence in Nuh, mobs in Sohna also engaged in destructive acts, setting fire to four vehicles and a shop.

In Gurugram, a 26-year-old man from Bihar died as a result of the violence.

Although the situation in Nuh and Sohna remains tense, there have been no reports of fresh violence as of Tuesday (1 August).

According to an official, the current situation is peaceful and under control. The Centre has been requested for 20 companies of security forces.

At around 9:30am on Tuesday, central forces arrived at the location and conducted a flag march.

As of now, approximately 45 individuals have been detained.

In response to the incident, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated that those responsible will face the strictest action.

Expressing his concern over the unfortunate incident, the chief minister appealed to the public to maintain peace in the state. He assured that the guilty will not be spared and will face the strictest consequences.

The Home Minister of Haryana, Anil Vij, has declared a curfew in Nuh district.
