Punjab: Suspected Babbar Khalsa Terrorist Killed In Blast In Amritsar, Investigation Underway

A suspected member of Babbar Khalsa, an outfit sympathetic to the Khalistani cause, was killed due to a blast this morning (27 May) in Amritsar.

According to a report by Free Press Journal, the explosion occurred outside Decent Avenue on the Majitha Road Bypass and the man was initially alive but passed away while receiving treatment.

According to Deputy Inspector General of Police (Border Range) Satinder Singh, the deceased was a member of a terrorist organisation and had come to retrieve the explosive consignment.

"The person who was injured has died. He is a member of a terrorist organisation and he had come to retrieve the explosive consignment.We have received a lot of clues," Singh told ANI.

"Further investigation is underway...Babbar Khalsa and ISI is active in Punjab and most likely, he is a member of Babbar Khalsa," the DIG added.
