Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan visited Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Wednesday (8 May) and bowed down before the idol of Ramlalla (watch the video here).

While idol-worshipping is said to be prohibited in Islam, Khan's gesture is not surprising as he has been advocating for reformation in Islam for a long time.

His visit comes a week after President Droupadi Murmu visited Ayodhya, falsifying Rahul Gandhi's remark that Murmu was not invited to Ram Mandir's pran-pratishtha because she is a tribal.

People not only from all sections of Hindu society but also from other religions are going to visit Ram Mandir. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann went there in February.

Over 250 Hindus from Pakistan, most from Sindh also reached Ayodhya last Friday to obtain the darshan of Ramlalla. These people were from 34 districts of the Sindh province.

Since the pran-pratishtha on 22 January, over 2 crore people have had darshan at the temple with delegates from over 100 countries. Recently, delegates from Mauritius and Sri Lanka came.
