Mysore Maharaja And Former Army Veteran Figure In BJP's Much Awaited Second Candidate List
Dear Reader,
BJP has made the surprise decision of announcing Maharaja of Mysuru, as the candidate from the Mysore-Kodagu parliamentary constituency, replacing the sitting MP Pratap Simha.
Simha, known for his achievements as an MP, including the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway and Mysore airport expansion, has faced speculation about his removal due to alleged arrogance and personal issues with local BJP leaders.
Despite rumors, the BJP may consider fielding Simha from Mandya, given Sumalatha Ambareesh's uncertain candidacy and JD(S) alliance concerns. However, the party has indicated that Simha needs to address his issues before being given more responsibilities.

In another equally crucial move, BJP has decided to field Captain Brijesh Chowta, a former army man, as its candidate from Karnataka.
Chowta will be taking over from former state BJP chief Nalin Kumar Kateel, who faced heavy anti-incumbency in his seat.
Chowta, with a background in military service and active involvement in the BJP since 2013, has been nominated for his impressive profile, which includes roles in counter-insurgency operations, party leadership, and community engagement such as organising Kambal, Mangluru Lit Fest.

Until next time.
