A Decade of Transformation
Dear reader,
Today, instead of our usual news updates from ElectionsHQ, I want to share a different story with you. My colleague Jaideep recently visited Assam and he's brought back a story to tell.
Life used to be really hard for people who worked in the tea gardens of Assam. But now, things are getting better. Let me tell you about Monil, one of the workers. His son, Bandhan, is going to a good school and dreams of having a great future.
Because of the government's efforts, workers are earning more money, children are attending good schools, and families are living in strong homes with clean water.
Jaideep's report is filled with stories like these, showing how life is improving + how big dreams are becoming achievable for a lot of people in the state.
Take a look at our report to see how these changes are truly impacting the tea gardens of Assam: https://swarajyamag.com/reports/life-has-become-easier-what-has-changed-for-tea-garden-workers-in-assam-in-last-10-years-ground-report

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
