The Swarajya Heritage Trips Are Back—To Hampi, This Time!

Dear readers,

One of the most loved Swarajya initiatives—our Heritage Tours—is back!

Whether on social media, during subscriber meetups, or even in casual conversations at events, one certain question continued to be constant:

"When is the next Swarajya Heritage Trip?"

It was very clear to us these trips were loved and were sought after by many of our friends and readers, and in their short-lived span, we were able to take our readers to close to a dozen most culturally significant places in the country like Hampi, Badami, Pattadakal, Srirangam, Chidambaram, Tiruvannamalai and many more.

Now, after what was a longer-than-usual hiatus, we’re happy to announce the Swarajya Heritage Retreat 2025! And there's no better way to kick things off than with a trip to Hampi—the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire.

This time it is going to be a little different (watch out for the highlights bit, when you scroll down). First, it is going to be a 3-day, 3-night all-inclusive trip, in collaboration with Atri Travels. We are working to make this trip as easy and planned as possible. More deets below ⬇️:

Dates:

Departure: 17th January 2025, 6:00 AM (from Bengaluru, Sandal Soap Factory)

Return: 19th January 2025

Highlights of the trip:

1. A Day with the Royals:

   Spend time with Shri Krishna Deva Raya, a direct descendant of the Aravidu lineage, Smt. Rathnashree Raya and Shri Tirumala Venkata Devaraya, the 20th descendant of Shri Krishnadevaraya. Hear firsthand how they’ve kept the Vijayanagara legacy alive by reviving temples, promoting arts, and celebrating age-old traditions.

2. A Day in Anegundi, the Old Capital:

   Visit the historic capital with stops at Gagan Mahal, Nava-Brindavana, and other significant sites.
