In a noteworthy development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Jana Sena, led by the prominent actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, both constituents of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), have come to an understanding for the impending Telangana assembly elections.
K Laxman, alongside G Kishan Reddy, the state BJP president, engaged in discussions with Kalyan and another prominent Jana Sena figure, Nadendla Manohar, on 4 November.
Laxman said, "we will contest together in the state. The aim & aspiration of the two parties is to see Narendra Modi ji becoming Prime Minister again."
Simultaneously, a communique issued by Jana Sena on Saturday conveyed Kalyan's contemplation of fielding candidates in 32 constituencies in Telangana.
In a parallel political development, Jana Sena has chosen to collaborate with the Telugu Desam Party in the forthcoming Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, underscoring the evolving landscape of political alliances in the region.
