An MP/MLA Special Court in Chennai today (28 August) served a copy of the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) chargesheet to minister Senthil Balaji.
The chargesheet, including documents, is about 3000 pages long.
Balaji was produced in-person before Special Judge K Ravi by the prison authorities as instructed earlier by the court. His judicial custody has been extended till 15 September.
He was arrested by the ED on 14 June for his role in the cash-for-jobs scam during his tenure as Transport minister in the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) government.
