While returning home from a pro-Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) rally held in front of the Town Hall in Bengaluru on Sunday (22 December), a man was allegedly stabbed by four people, reports Times Of India.

The victim, identified as Varun Bopala, is a resident of Bengaluru’s JP Nagar area and a member of RSS. He was alone on a rented bike when two men on a bike hit his vehicle. When Varun fell down, two more men on another bike joined the attackers in assaulting him.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was admitted to Victoria Hospital for treatment and later shifted to a private hospital in JP Nagar. The doctors reportedly said that the Varun will require plastic surgery.
As per Police, Varun’s condition is stable and a case has been filed against the four unknown miscreants.
Notably over 1,000 supporters assembled near Town Hall in support of CAA.
