India's leading DTH Operator Tata Sky has announced that it will discontinue 58 curated packs from 12 March, that is this Friday, Television Buzz has reported.
The customers who are currently enrolled in these packs will be migrated to the ones which bear the closest resemblance to them. Additionally, the subscribers can add or remove the channels from their new package via the Tata Sky website or the mobile app.
Here is a list of all the packages which are now being discontinued by Tata Sky.
As seen in the image, Tata Sky is mainly discontinuing regional curated packs for languages like Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and also a few premium sports channel packs.
It was recently reported that Tata Sky is offering its customers a free upgrade to its Tata Sky Binge+ Android hybrid set-top box (STB) if they recharge their account with an amount greater than their yearly burn rate in one transaction.
This offer is only applicable if the subscribers make a recharge of greater than Rs 7,200, that is a monthly burn rate of over Rs 600. All customers who currently have SD, HD, SDPVR, HDPVR set-top-boxes can avail this benefit.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
