It should be noted that earlier today, Home Minister Amit Shah had also tested positive for Covid-19. The former Bharatiya Janata Party president himself broke the news on Twitter and wrote, "On getting the initial symptoms of corona, I got the test done and the report came back positive. My health is fine, but I am being Shadmitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors."
Several other leaders have tested positive for the disease in past including Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia.
