In a bid to capitalise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image as a man of action, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has selected the slogan ‘Modi Hai to Mumkin Hai’ (Anything’s possible if Modi is there), for its political campaign heading up to the Lok Sabha elections this year, reports The Hindu.
The announcement was made by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The minister in his ‘Agenda 2019- Part-4’ blog post mentioned how Modi had shown his indefatigable spirit by conducting his work round-the-clock. He said that Modi had demonstrated an ability to take fast decisions on complex issues with a clear and determined mind.
PM Modi’s popularity was immensely bolstered by the swift and precise response post Pulwama terror attack which claimed lives of 40 CRPF personnel. India not only carried out ‘preemptive air strike’ to destory Jaish training camp across LoC, but was also able to get back the captured pilot Abhinandan Varthaman safely. India’s deft diplomacy garnered praise for successfully isolating Pakistan over the issue of terrorism.
The winner of multiple awards including Seoul Peace Prize, UN Champions of Earth Award, PM Modi was lauded for his several flagship programmes including Swachh Bharat, Ujjwala scheme, even earning praise from political opponents.
