Amid the ongoing military tensions between India and China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), Pakistan has moved 20,000 soldiers in Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Economic Times has reported.
The Pakistani soldiers moved along the Line of Control (LoC), are part of two divisions and seek to match the Chinese deployment at the LAC. This development follows a series of meetings between Pakistani and Chinese officials.
As a result of this military manoeuvre, the Indian Army would be required to undertake additional measures while at the same time continuing to keep the Chinese in check.
This incident has also led experts to fear a potential two front challenge for the Indian Army, coupled with the threat of terrorists emanating out of Pakistan and its occupied territories.
The Indian Army has also continued to scale up its deployments in recent days. The deescalation talks between India and China continue.
