Tamil Nadu Launches Online Police Verification: Process To Be Completed Within 15 Days

Tamil Nadu police has launched an online portal verification service through which the citizens can avail police verification through just a click , reports New Indian Express.
There are different types of verification- self-verification, job verification, tenant verification, and domestic help verification A person has to just submit his/her application through the website (www.eservices.tnpolice.gov.in). The charge is Rs.500 for individuals and Rs 1000 for private companies for these services. The payment can be done though debit card , credit card or net banking.
The police will verify the identity of the person , their current address and criminal records, the entire process which will be done in 15 days of receiving the application. The PVR can be downloaded from the police website or the applicant can get it on his mail.
The applicant also has the option to check their application status online and verify the validity of the PVR, by scanning the QR code on it. Any grievances of the applicant can be registered using the feedback option.
The applications can be rejected on the basis of misinformation and false documents but the fees will not be refunded. It is also punishable by law, said the police statement.
