The board exams for twelfth will start on 15 February and end on 3 April whereas for tenth will begin on 21 February and end on 29 March.
The first major exam that tenth standard students will have to face is Mathematics on 7 March, and for twelfth standard, it is English (Core) on 2 March.
The CBSE controller of examination has reportedly informed that arrangements have been made for students to avoid any kind of rush. The board has also decided to conduct subjects chosen by lesser number of students a little early.
Earlier, exams used to start in March and extend till the end of April. This time schools have been directed to complete practicals by 15 February.
The date sheets for the exams were released on Sunday (23 December) by the CBSE. The board has reportedly assured that they have kept ample time between exams and that no exam would coincide with competitive examinations.
Unlike previous years, the date sheet has been released earlier. The results of the examination are likely to be released in the first week of June.
